Left Coast Diesel brought a huge contingent of customers to the NHRDA Redding Diesel Nationals.  Three giant toy

haulers and various other campers joined us on Friday and we partied all night.  On Saturday, title sponsor Jefferson

State Diesel and Randy's crew from NHRDA did a great job of keeping the activity going on a HOT Redding day.

Erik Lind, one of the LCD owners, accidentally ended up in the ET Street bracket category. "I was just planning on

running the truck with some nitrous and street tires to see how fast I could get, " says Erik.  "After I won the first

elimination round, I was like "It's On."   Erik defeated all comers and took home the trophy for Left Coast Diesel.

On the rollers, Left Coast was represented in the Street class by Joe Rush and Les Szmidt.  Joe and Les both

put down over 600HP to finish 1st and 2nd.

In Sled Pulling, Left Coast Diesel also did well.  First up in the Street class was Eli Wallis.  On his 3rd hook ever,

Eli made a Full Pull.  The crowd went nuts....and then came the announcement that the sled operator needed

to recalibrate the sled since it was too fast.  Needless to say, Eli wasn't thrilled.  "I went out and gave them the

business, then they said I could go again at the end of the class."  " I said, "Heck No, Hook me NOW."  On Eli's

2nd pass, he still managed 293 feet, and went on to win the class.eli_fullpull.jpg

In Super Street, Melissa Westerman took first place driving Adam Spague's 12v Dodge.  She managed a full

pull, but lost a driveshaft at the end.  The locals came through with some used parts and the truck towed their trailer home to

Sonoma. Chris Johnson came in 3rd in the same class to add to the LCD winning streak.

The most incredible thing about the weekend, according to Erik, "We brought two empty trailers up to help

bring home broken trucks.  We didn't need them at all!"
